Robin Wright leaves the US for a fresh start in England

Robin Wright Moves Abroad

Robin Wright, known for her role in “House of Cards,” has departed the United States, saying she finds her new home overseas much more appealing.

“America is such a mess,” Wright expressed in a recent interview with The Times.

The acclaimed actress has been working in the UK and cherishing time spent with her family.

“I really love it here. There’s a sense of freedom. People are genuinely kind,” she shared.

Wright, who is 59, mentioned plans to rent a house near a beach in the UK for her family and their dog.

“It feels freeing to make this choice,” she said, reflecting on the search for a place that feels right. “You might end up finding just 60% of what you hoped for.”

This isn’t the first time a Hollywood figure has criticized life in the U.S.

Others, like Ellen DeGeneres and Whoopi Goldberg, have also voiced their dissatisfaction, often hinting at leaving the country during turbulent political times. DeGeneres even mentioned the slower pace of life in the UK compared to the chaotic hustle of America.

Wright is recognized not just for “House of Cards” but also for her roles in “The Princess Bride,” “Forrest Gump,” and “Wonder Woman,” among others.

She hasn’t yet responded to requests for further comments about her decision.
