Debate on Communism and Citizenship
In a recent conversation, an outspoken critic of capitalism engaged in a debate with ValueTainment CEO Patrick Bet-David, asserting that countries often labeled as communist, like North Korea, Venezuela, and Cuba, do not truly embody communism. This exchange happened during an episode of Jubilee Media’s “Surround” series, where one person faces multiple individuals with opposing views.
During the discussion, Bet-David offered to cover Allannah’s expenses to leave the United States if she would give up her citizenship. He quipped about paying $2,350, which he claimed would cover the cost of renouncing her citizenship and a first-class ticket to a country of her choice.
Allannah was quick to respond, asking for a name of a communist country she would want to visit. She mentioned Cuba, Venezuela, and North Korea as options. Bet-David then reiterated his offer to provide one-way tickets to any of those places.
However, Allannah maintained her stance, stating that those countries aren’t actually communist, but she was cut off before she could elaborate further. According to the U.S. State Department, these nations are known for serious human rights violations, including wrongful arrests, torture, censorship, and restrictions on religious freedom.
