Judge Boasberg Frees Woman Charged with Threatening to 'Sacrificially Kill' Trump

Judge Releases Woman Who Allegedly Threatened Trump

A judge appointed by former President Barack Obama has decided to release a woman accused of threatening to kill former President Donald Trump. This decision was made by District of Columbia Judge James Boasberg in the case of 50-year-old Natalie Rose Jones, who was reportedly under electronic monitoring.

The New York Post highlighted that there were specific conditions involved in her release. According to the legal documentation, she was instructed to travel directly to New York City for a psychiatrist appointment. The document detailed that she should arrive in the city by 5 PM on August 27, 2025, adhering to other conditions for her release.

Interestingly, the piece noted that this article was published shortly before her release. In a related hearing, US Magistrate Judge Moxila Upadyaya dismissed connections between Jones and the threats she allegedly made against Trump online.

In one of her posts, Jones supposedly stated, “Today, I told the FBI in literally five states that I was willing to destroy him and kill this Potas by cutting off his trachea with Liz Cheney and all the affirmations that exist. Let’s deal with this and restore the quietness of the country.”

Officials have been concerned about messages she posted starting on August 2. During an interview with Secret Service agents on August 15, she mentioned that if given the opportunity, she might use “an object with a blade” against Trump.

Following her first arrest, US Attorney Janeine Piro remarked that threatening a president’s life is immensely serious, attracting rapid and relentless prosecution.

According to the article, Jones has a history of schizophrenia and struggles with mental health issues. She is currently awaiting trial for felony charges related to her threats against Trump, who has survived two assassination attempts during his 2024 campaign.

Additionally, reports have surfaced that Judge Boasberg has had a contentious history, including playing a significant role in accusations surrounding Trump regarding Russia, along with monitoring foreign intelligence reporting law (FISA) courts. Some sources claim that judges, including Boasberg, have exhibited bias against Trump in recent rulings.
