Sen. Tom Cotton Raises Concerns About 'Threatening' Actions of the Palestinian Youth Movement

Senator Flags FBI Over Palestinian Youth Movement Activities

Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) has raised alarms about what he characterizes as “dangerous” and possibly illegal actions by the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), as reported by Breitbart News.

In a letter directed to FBI Director Kash Patel dated September 3, Cotton called for a comprehensive investigation into PYM, labeling the group a “threat” to U.S. national security.

He emphasized a recent statement made by PYM leader Aisha Nizar at an event in Michigan, where she allegedly encouraged supporters to disrupt the supply chain for the U.S. F-35 fighter jets.

Cotton expressed concerns that Nizar’s remarks were part of a broader strategy to undermine U.S. military support for Israel during its conflict with Hamas. He quoted her, stating, “If a particular node in the F-35 supply chain is affected, it has a significant impact.” He also referred to her call for a “surgical” and “strategic” approach to intervening in various points of the supply chain.

The senator reminded Patel that he had previously raised issues regarding PYM, noting Nizar’s past involvement in protests related to the 2024 Gaza War, which resulted in her arrest for blocking traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge.

“She is now escalating anti-American and anti-Semitic sentiments, putting U.S. national security in jeopardy,” he argued, asserting that Nizar’s latest comments directly threaten American interests by targeting those involved in the F-35 program.

Cotton urged the FBI to take her actions seriously and implement necessary measures to address this threat, emphasizing that the U.S. defense supply chain is crucial for military success. “We must safeguard our supply chain from all enemies, whether foreign or domestic,” he said.

Interestingly, PYM does have at least one supporter in Congress, with Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) previously engaging with members of the group.
