Tom Brady Reflects on NFL Player Treatment
Tom Brady recently shared his thoughts on how NFL players are treated in a conversation with comedian Kevin Hart on a YouTube show. As the 2025 regular season approaches, Brady voiced his concerns about the current handling of players in the league.
The former quarterback for both the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers has raised issues with coach-player dynamics in the past, but this time he delved deeper. He mentioned that while there are many challenges in developing quarterbacks today, there are also new opportunities for them that didn’t exist before. “I think there are many opportunities for them to succeed,” he noted, though he also pointed out that increasing distractions can complicate things.
Brady acknowledged that players are being treated differently these days. He expressed a sort of ambivalence about the changing culture, saying, “While I’m against saying, ‘Hey, you better come in and do the work,’ it’s like, ‘Hey, you should probably do this.'” He emphasized that those with strong work ethics would likely thrive in the current environment.
He also touched on Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes, noting his remarkable drive. “He has a will to win,” Brady remarked, indicating that Mahomes has the qualities of a great leader in the game.
This season, Brady is back in the Fox booth calling “America’s Game of the Week,” beginning with a highly anticipated rematch between the Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles in the second week of the season.
