Hollywood actress Tracee Ellis Ross is the newest celebrity affected by the rising crime in California.

Tracee Ellis Ross recently joined the ranks of celebrities who have faced attempted home burglaries. Early Sunday morning, a thief broke a glass door at her Los Angeles residence, as reported by local police. At the time, Ross was out of town.

The break-in was noted around 12:30 AM when staff arrived at the house. Authorities indicated that three individuals gained entry through the broken glass. They made off with over $100,000 worth of jewelry and handbags, according to an NBC4 investigation.

No suspects have been arrested yet, and representatives for the LAPD did not respond immediately to inquiries for more information.

This isn’t a new trend among celebrities, with many, including Lionel Richie and Brad Pitt, having their privacy invaded in similar ways for years. In fact, Goldie Hawn revealed in 2024 that her home, shared with partner Kurt Russell, had been broken into twice within a short span.

In a candid moment on Sirius’ podcast “Let’s Talk Cameras,” Hawn shared her thoughts on safety in Los Angeles, saying, “If we couldn’t live in Los Angeles, where would we?” She mused that despite its dangers, it feels somewhat secure for them.

Meanwhile, Rachel Bilson, another actress who fell victim to similar incidents, mentioned being targeted by the infamous “Bling Ring” multiple times back in 2008 and 2009. Bilson reflected, “It was quite shocking, you know, a lot of filming was happening then.”

Other stars like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Audrina Patridge were also affected, with the thieves stealing millions across various Hollywood homes. The culprits, young men aged 18 and 19, faced probation and community service for their actions.

Lionel Richie

Recently, a 38-year-old man was arrested near Richard’s Beverly Hills home on suspicion of burglary. The homeowner’s identity has not been officially disclosed, but reports suggest the property belongs to Richie. Authorities responded to a report of a robbery around midnight on August 22, and while nothing was taken due to an alarm activation, the suspect was apprehended nearby.

Brad Pitt

Back in June, Pitt’s home was reportedly ransacked. The LAPD took four people into custody related to a theft that occurred in the 2300 block of North Edgemont Street. Multiple sources claim this home also belongs to Pitt, who was away for film promotions at the time of the incident.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban

On February 14, Kidman and Urban were victims of a home break-in, with police confirming they responded to the report that evening. A glass door was shattered during the robbery, but thankfully, they were not at home.

Jennifer Aniston

In May, a man was arrested after crashing his car into the gates of Aniston’s property. She was home during this incident, and authorities revealed the intruder had been harassing her with numerous unwanted messages leading up to the event.

Aniston acknowledged her security measures, admitting they might seem overkill but are essential for her safety. She noted, “People don’t care… but who wants that kind of energy out there?”
