The Secret Service has allocated around $11 million for the security details related to Hunter Biden’s travels.

Interestingly, other notable public figures have been denied similar security measures, as shown in documents from the Center to Advance Security in America.

CASA director James Fitzpatrick mentioned to Centre Square, “Hunter Biden received robust protection during trips to locations like Nantucket, South Africa, and the Virgin Islands.”

According to a report from Center Square:

The Biden administration has spent over $10 million in three years on security for Hunter Biden, who is the son of former President Joe Biden, while opting not to extend the same level of security to other prominent politicians.

Documents acquired via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) show that the expenses for Hunter’s security—including travel and accommodations—total approximately $11 million. Between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2024, nearly $9.3 million went to hotels, $1.1 million for air and rail travel, and about $600,000 for car transportation and rental services.

Fitzpatrick further stated that given Hunter’s substantial role in advising his father in the White House in 2024, they requested information on the taxpayer funds used for his protection, highlighting the disparity in security measures. He noted, “While the Secret Service denied protection for then-presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and faced failures in safeguarding President Trump—leading to two attempted assassinations—Hunter Biden received significant security for his travels.”

In March, Donald Trump decided to end the Secret Service protections for Hunter and Ashley Biden.

As reported by NBC News:

Former President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he has terminated Secret Service protections for both Hunter and Ashley Biden, stating, “I recommend that Hunter Biden no longer receive Secret Service protections immediately and effectively.” He added that Ashley Biden will also be “removed from the list.”

Secret Service representatives confirmed they are aware of Trump’s decision. One official noted, “The Secret Service is working closely with protection details and the White House to ensure compliance as quickly as possible.”
