Charlie Sheen has revealed that he underwent weight loss surgery following a light-hearted jab from a sex worker about his midsection, as disclosed in his memoir, *The Book of Sheen*.
In the memoir, Sheen reflects on a time when he and his brother, Emilio Estevez, were in Toronto filming the 2000 movie, *Rated X*. They played the roles of the Mitchell brothers, known for launching the biopic porn industry.
On one of his last nights in Toronto, Sheen thought he’d seek closure for his “single wins” through an ad in “BelCanada Matchmaking Yellow Pages.” The now 60-year-old actor began calling for “gorgeous brunettes” to his hotel.
He recounted a moment when, after an encounter, a sex worker playfully called him “fatso.” He described her reaching out and seemingly enjoying herself in the moment, then asked, “What do you say, Fasso—are you up for round two?”
This brief, pointed comment struck a nerve, leading him to opt for liposuction surgery, as noted in his memoir.
Admitting to feeling hurt by the remark, Sheen wrote, “Wow. Gees, Lady, you chose the nickname 10,000, so did you go with that? I wanted to blow my brain away. It’s incredible how a word can affect a guy.” Yet, he went on to participate in another encounter despite the sting of the comment.
About a week after returning to Los Angeles, Sheen sought help from “Lipodoc,” reflecting on how he had gained weight during that time due to feeling more settled.
He explains, “[It’s] quite common for people to gain weight after they’ve calmed down. But I’ve lived a little softer than Crack Skinny or F. King Dead.” In his memoir, he candidly discusses his battles with addiction and his turbulent love life.
