Charlie Kirk was at an event in Utah Valley University on September 10th when an incident occurred. It’s hard to even process it. I mean, I sent my thoughts and prayers, but what more can you do in such situations?
Pablo Manriquez from Immigrant Insider expressed his thoughts, saying, “He fought hard for the gun. Thoughts and prayers.” This, of course, comes amidst the discourse surrounding gun violence.
MSNBC had a segment featuring Matthew Dowd, suggesting Kirk’s rhetoric might have played a role in escalating violence against him. “You can’t just have these terrible thoughts and words without some consequence. We’re in an unfortunate environment,” he pointed out.

Deven Green, known for her satirical YouTube content, reflected on Kirk’s past remarks regarding gun violence, stating, “I recall when he said it was worth it.” This reference notes Kirk’s surprisingly cavalier stance on gun deaths relative to the Second Amendment.
Reports indicate that Cheryl Wycal made a remark wishing that Kirk “has a good day,” displaying a troubling attitude toward the situation. This sentiment was picked up by several commentators on social media.
