Bad Bunny has finally shared the real reason behind his decision to leave the U.S. off his upcoming 2025-2026 tour.

The Puerto Rican rapper, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, voiced concerns about performing in the U.S. during the Devitti Ramas Photos Concert Series. He mentioned a fear that immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) could be present outside the venues.

“There were multiple reasons for not including the U.S., and none stemmed from dislike. I’ve performed there plenty of times,” he explained in an interview with ID published on September 10th.

“All of my shows there have been successful and unforgettable. I really value connecting with Latinos in the U.S. But since we have our home in Puerto Rico, which is a territory of the U.S., fans from the States were able to come here to see the concert.”

Still, the “Dakiti” singer expressed his concerns and admitted he’s “very worried” that bringing the U.S. into the equation might lead to complications outside the shows.

“Latinos and Puerto Ricans in the U.S. can also travel here and wherever else. But you know, there’s always the chance of ICE lurking around. That was something we really thought about and worried over,” he revealed.

Fans were disappointed when Bad Bunny initially announced his Devitti Ramas Photos World Tour in May, as they were looking forward to his appearance in the U.S. The tour is set to kick off on November 21st in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, with plans to span through Latin America, Europe, Australia, Japan, and London, concluding on July 26, 2026, in Brussels, Belgium.

In another interview regarding his highly anticipated performance, he reiterated, “That’s not necessary,” when discussing the U.S. leg of his tour.

This isn’t the first time the “I Like It” artist has addressed concerns about ICE in recent months.

He’s even spoken out on social media about federal actions against unidentified individuals in his home country.

In a recent video, he commented, “Look, those guys are out in their RAV-4s.” He added, “Instead of letting people go about their business, they’re just interfering.”

Meanwhile, the “Un Verano Sin Ti” artist has been in the spotlight again due to another headline from last month.

Kevin Marless, a 25-year-old from New York, sadly passed away after a tragic incident. “That’s very difficult,” his father shared, reflecting on the pain of losing his son. “Yesterday was tough. We’re still trying to cope. He was a wonderful person.”
