He recalled that Kirk was among the first to reach out when Vance considered running for Senate, navigating discussions about strategy and campaigning together.
Kirk’s activism and ability to rally support were mentioned, with Vance recalling how Kirk shaped significant events that brought thousands of supporters together. He remembered the support and encouragement from Kirk during Vance’s campaign, offering guidance and checking on Vance’s family regularly.
Reflecting on Kirk’s love for his family, Vance shared a conversation he had with former President Trump, who recognized the depth of Kirk’s commitment to family and faith.
Vance noted that Kirk had a unique talent for fostering dialogue, even in challenging environments, always encouraging respectful discourse and understanding, showcasing the virtues of their Republic.
Describing Kirk as a great family man, Vance recounted how proud Kirk was of his loved ones, stating that he felt fortunate to have found a partner in his wife, Erica, with whom he built a family.
“Charlie was a genuine friend,” Vance reflected, sharing experiences of group chats filled with camaraderie, discussions on various topics, and celebrations of milestones, underlining the strong bonds formed over the years.
