Shooting at Evergreen High School Injures Three Students
On Wednesday, three teenagers were seriously injured in a shooting incident at Evergreen High School in Colorado, occurring around 12:30 PM. This information was confirmed by Jackie Kelly, a spokesperson for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
All those involved in the incident—including the shooter—are reported to be high school students, according to sources. The severity of their injuries has been noted by various reports.
FBI Director Kash Patel commented on the situation via social media, stating, “We know the tragic situation unfolding near Denver. The FBI is on the ground and fully supports local governments to ensure everyone is safe.”
As per reports, the victims are currently undergoing treatment at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado, though details regarding the shooter’s identity or the possibility of another shooter have not yet been disclosed.
Colorado Governor Jared Polis shared updates on social media, saying, “I’m closely monitoring the situation at Evergreen High School and getting live updates. State troopers are helping local law enforcement respond to this situation. Students should be able to attend school safely and without fear.”
In response to the incident, more than 100 police officers were dispatched to the scene. Notably, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was involved, having previously managed the Columbine High School shooting in 1999.
This shooting occurs in the wake of another tragic event, the shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at a university in Utah, where he was injured during a Q&A session. The suspect remains at large following the release of two individuals earlier.
