Sharon Osbourne Steps into the Spotlight After Ozzy’s Passing
Sharon Osbourne has made her first public appearance since supporting her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, during his recent health struggles.
The 72-year-old former music manager appeared in an Instagram video posted by her daughter, Kelly Osbourne, on September 11. Kelly, 40, shared, “Today I introduced my mother to falconry and she loved it!” The video features Sharon holding a flying owl, and Kelly added, “Thank you to Gerard Sulter for putting a smile on my mother’s face.”
In the video, Sharon appeared more fragile than usual, but both she and Kelly seemed to enjoy the falconry experience following the loss of Ozzy.
Fans quickly flooded the comments of the video, expressing their joy at seeing Sharon just a month after the “Crazy Train” singer’s funeral. One fan commented, “Ah, Sharon! I missed your beautiful face!” with several red heart emojis. Another chimed in, “She’s there! We all missed seeing Sharon. Thank you, Kelly.”
Another fan wrote, “We missed you!” while someone else noted, “I’m so happy to see this! All positive and soothing atmosphere for you and your family.”
Ozzy Osbourne’s family announced his passing on July 22nd, shortly before they revealed that the cause was related to multiple health issues, including cardiac arrest and Parkinson’s disease.
The family’s emotional statement said, “It’s with more sadness than words can express that we report our beloved Ozzy has passed away.” They asked for privacy during this difficult time, mentioning Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Amy, and Louis.
Sources indicated that Sharon was heartbroken but proud of the life they built as a family, emphasizing that her children were supporting her through this tough time. They were by her side, sharing memories and offering comfort.
Sharon had initially kept a low profile after Ozzy’s funeral procession in Birmingham on July 30th, where she was surrounded by family, including her children Jack, Kelly, Amy, and Ozzy’s son Lewis from his previous marriage.
During the procession, Sharon wore Ozzy’s wedding rings on a chain around her neck, a poignant reminder of their 43 years together.
Ozzy was laid to rest during a private ceremony at his home in Buckinghamshire, attended by close friends and loved ones, including his longtime guitarist Zakk Wylde and collaborators like Elton John.
