Institutional Bitcoin Allocation Expected to Rise

Wall Street veteran and macro analyst Jordivisser anticipates that US financial institutions will boost their Bitcoin allocations before the end of the year.

Visser mentioned in a YouTube interview with Anthony Pipriano that he expects an uptick in Bitcoin investment from traditional finance sectors leading into next year. “From now until the year’s end, I think we’ll see an increase in allocations,” he stated emphatically.

He predicts that this trend will particularly strengthen in the last quarter of the upcoming year when market experts are mulling over the possibility of Bitcoin hitting its peak during its current cycle.

Anticipated Changes in Bitcoin Allocation

Visser’s insights point to a heightened institutional interest in the cryptocurrency market, especially following a recent study by Coinbase and Ey-Parthenon.

A survey conducted on March 18 revealed that 83% of institutional investors plan to increase their cryptocurrency investments in 2025. A report released in May also projected Bitcoin inflows reaching $120 billion by 2025 and climbing to $300 billion by 2026.

In the meantime, a Bitcoin ETF based in the US has seen net inflows of around $2.333 billion over the last five days, bringing the total inflow since its launch in January 2024 to approximately $567.9 billion.

Visser’s Perspective on Bitcoin’s Market Performance

The number of public companies holding Bitcoin has surged recently, with their total holdings reaching about $117.03 billion. This data stems from resources tracking Bitcoin treasuries.

Regarding the fluctuating Bitcoin prices, Visser expressed that he appreciates how the charts are developing, though he hesitated to make any definitive predictions.

He noted that there are several “mini breakouts” occurring across the broader crypto landscape. “What I really want to see is Ethereum breaking past 4,000. Right now, it’s fluctuating between 4 and 5, which is good,” he remarked.

Visser added that for Ethereum’s success to be meaningful, it needs to propel the entire ecosystem forward, mentioning that coins like Dogecoin and SUI also need to show strong performance.
