Nurse sues, alleging doctor rejoiced over Charlie Kirk's assassination

Nurse Sues Hospital After Controversy Over Doctor’s Comments

A nurse in New Jersey is facing termination after reporting a doctor who allegedly made inappropriate comments regarding the assassination of conservative speaker Charlie Kirk. Lexi Kuenzle, 33, an employee at Englewood Health, initiated a lawsuit against the hospital on Friday.

Her lawyer, John Coyle, highlighted that Kuenzle questioned how Dr. Jung could uphold the Hippocratic Oath and the American Medical Association’s Code of Medical Ethics while seemingly celebrating the murder of a Christian speaker. The lawsuit further notes that after the incident, Dr. Jung suggested he would “buy lunch” for the offended nursing staff.

Kuenzle reported the unsettling remarks to management on Wednesday and felt compelled to share her experience on social media afterward. She recalled her outrage, asking, “You’re a doctor. How can you say someone deserves to die?” It was a shocking moment for her, leading to feelings of anger and frustration.

Subsequently, Kuenzle was placed on unpaid suspension as the hospital conducted its investigation. The complaint asserts that the hospital violated New Jersey’s laws by retaliating against Kuenzle for her Christian faith and fostering a hostile work environment. She is now seeking a jury trial alongside unspecified financial damages.

As of Sunday, Dr. Jung was no longer listed as part of the Englewood Health staff. Efforts to obtain comments from the hospital, Kuenzle’s legal representatives, and Kuenzle herself have yet to receive responses.
