Charlie Kirk's assassination sparks a worldwide response: Patriots hold memorials from the UK to South Korea

Candlelight Memorials for Charlie Kirk

Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, has sparked memorials not just across the United States, but globally. His impact is resonating in unexpected ways.

In Canada, patriots came together in Calgary, singing the American national anthem and chanting “America” in honor of Kirk. Albertans even stayed up all night singing “Amazing Grace.”

“He fought for the future of America and gave his life. Now, his influence is expanding. The political assassination of Charlie Kirk has backfired,”

In Madrid, Spain, outside the U.S. embassy, people set down candles, flowers, and posters to create a makeshift monument for him. Organizers indicated that this homage is part of a rising global movement against political violence and censorship. Entrepreneur and podcast host Mario Nawfal noted the peaceful nature of the event, which included a moment of silence. Supporters believe this marks a significant turning point not just in the U.S., but worldwide.

South Korea observed similar heartfelt tributes, with crowds marching through streets, waving Korean and American flags, holding signs that read “We’re Charlie Kirk” while chanting hymns.

In Germany, candlelight vigils took place outside the U.S. embassy in Berlin. German politician Martin CT Kohler expressed, “Charlie Kirk is dead. That’s the harsh reality. We cannot allow this to be the end. He represented freedom and debate.”

Kohler further stated, “We want to ensure that his death isn’t in vain. Grieving shouldn’t lead to resignation; we must carry on with his message.” Young Bob, a youth ambassador from TPUSA’s British branch, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the persecution of conservatives and urging defenders of culture and heritage to maintain civic discourse.

Joel Jamal of Australia posted a video montage from a vigil in Sydney. The montage featured attendees reflecting on the connection they feel, despite being far from the U.S., and celebrating Kirk’s last words about Christ and truth.

Memorials also took place in Tel Aviv and New Zealand to honor Kirk’s heritage. Benny Johnson remarked on the global extent of tributes—covering everything from prayer vigils on university campuses to murals and monuments around the world. He underlined the irony that—far from diminishing—Kirk’s influence is perhaps stronger than ever. “He fights for the future of America,” Johnson asserted.
