During a game on Tuesday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, two fans were removed from their courtside seats after a confrontation with Dreamguard Alisha Gray.
As the Fever secured a 77-60 win with just under seven minutes left, Gray turned to acknowledge the crowd, seemingly responding to remarks made by the fans.
She notified security about the incident, leading to the exit of the involved individual, as reported by USA Today.
Social media footage captured the moment, with one user noting that Indiana Fever fans were ejected after speaking to Gray during the Fever’s playoff showdown against the Atlanta Dream.
Post-incident, Gray appeared visibly upset while returning to the bench, receiving support from her teammates, according to the same report.
After the game, she didn’t take questions from reporters.
In Tuesday’s game, Gray recorded nine points, seven rebounds, and two assists.
Previously, in Game 1, Dream triumphed over Fever. On that day, Gray had a notable performance with 20 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
Dream coach Carl Smesko praised Indiana’s competitiveness following the loss, acknowledging their resilience throughout the season and how they capitalized on mistakes made by his team.
Looking ahead to Game 3 in Atlanta, Smesko expressed confidence that his team can turn things around.
He emphasized the team’s confidence and belief in their ability to perform well in the upcoming game.
The next tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM on Thursday.
