The latest abolition: Reasons for red states to prohibit transgender beliefs

Slavery stripped away the humanity of individuals made in God’s image. Similarly, transgenderism and, to some extent, same-sex marriage do the same. Transgenderism, in fact, denies the body, dismisses reality, and undermines the natural order. A society that accepts this cannot uphold freedom. Just as America once abolished slavery, conservative states must work to eradicate this damaging belief.

Violence is increasingly revealing itself as more than mere coincidence. Before investigators could even flesh out details regarding the shooting at a Minneapolis Catholic school carried out by a transgender individual, another tragic incident occurred where Charlie Kirk was killed by someone closely connected to their transgender partner, part of a subculture that has, disturbingly, become radicalized online. These killers don’t arise from nowhere; they are products of a movement that promotes self-harm and, ultimately, violence by endorsing mutilation.

It’s a contemporary form of abolition. Just as our predecessors fought to end slavery, we must confront and abolish transgender ideology.

Recent medical studies reveal alarming trends. One research effort published this year by a group under the American Medical Association determined that transgender individuals are three times more likely to experience death by suicide or homicide compared to their cisgender counterparts. Simply put, this ideology can be lethal, leading to devastating outcomes for individuals and their communities. The industry surrounding “transitioning” is rooted in violence—first against oneself and then against others.

This frames transgenderism as a violent ideology rather than just a lifestyle choice. Much like slavery, it cannot be dismissed as a private matter; it’s a societal contagion that disrupts families, radicalizes youth, and leaves behind destruction.

Conservatives often ponder: How can we safeguard our families from this point forward? It’s a tough task; the culture feels overwhelmingly tainted. Nevertheless, we must transform conservative states into zones where transgender ideology has no foothold. If the government fails to shield families from practices such as mutilation and other societal attacks, it capitulates to false narratives. It’s time for action from Congress.

Here are ten actions all conservative states should undertake immediately:

  1. Ban castration and hormone treatments in adults. Removing healthy organs for other mental health conditions is not acceptable. This ban should expand from minors to adults.
  2. Eliminate Medicaid coverage for transgender procedures. Currently, ten states are providing taxpayer resources for these interventions, and others must do the same.
  3. Reinstate biological accuracy on birth certificates and licenses. Only a few states refuse to engage with gender identity fantasies; comprehensive reforms are necessary.
  4. Remove transgender ideology from government institutions. Several states have started limiting gender ideology in educational settings; this needs to be amplified.
  5. Maintain separate restrooms based on biological sex. While prohibitions on men competing in women’s sports exist, fewer states are actively enforcing bathroom restrictions.
  6. Make child drag shows illegal. Public indecency shouldn’t be tolerated. Currently, too few states have enacted laws against this.
  7. Prohibit gender ideology in schools. Although some states limit this instruction, many still allow children to be indoctrinated.
  8. Ban rainbow flags and sexual propaganda on public properties. Public spaces should not be venues for ideological advocacy.
  9. Outlaw any form of transgender recruitment. Parents wouldn’t place their children in environments that promote other mental health issues; transgender issues should be viewed similarly.
  10. Reimburse detransition care costs. Those who perpetuated these ideologies should be held accountable for the consequences of their actions.

If we implement these reforms, we can start dismantling the false ideologies that have taken root. However, aside from prohibiting surgeries for minors and barring men from women’s sports, most conservative states have been surprisingly subdued in their responses. They address the periphery while leaving the foundational issues largely unchallenged.

This isn’t merely about tolerance. Transgenderism spreads not through genetics but rather through cultural influence and peer pressure. It progresses as long as society allows it to. If we continue to accept it, more lives will be lost and families will continue to grieve.

Scripturally speaking, we have a duty. “You shall demolish their altars and shatter their sacred pillars.”

This is a new abolition. Just as our ancestors ended slavery, our generation must confront and abolish transgenderism. To compromise is to invite further tragedy. Delays could betray our future generations.

The time is now. It’s essential to uproot and dismantle these ideologies.
