Jaden Smith, son of Will Smith, is relocating to Paris to take on the role of men’s creative director for Christian Louboutin.

Jaden Smith is stepping into the role of male creative director for Christian Louboutin, having relocated to Paris.

This announcement was confirmed by both Louboutin and Smith, according to Women’s Wear Daily. The founders of the iconic Red Sole shoe line will still manage the men’s division, while 27-year-old Smith will focus on the creative aspects, which include shoes, leather goods, and accessories, as well as campaigns, events, and immersive experiences.

Smith is set to showcase his first design during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris this January.

He will oversee four collections each year.

“It’s truly an honor, and I feel a significant weight to respond to everything Christian has accomplished while stepping into this serious role,” Smith shared.

Louboutin mentioned that Smith was the sole candidate for this position.

According to Louboutin, this new role for Smith also allows for expansion in the women’s sector.

Louboutin hopes to utilize Smith’s star appeal and his significant Instagram following, which is close to 20 million, to boost the male line.

This segment represents 24% of their business but has seen a downturn.

“He possesses a unique perspective on things, how to interpret and transform them, which aligns perfectly with my vision,” Louboutin remarked.

A request for comments from representatives of Louboutin and Smith did not receive an immediate response.
