Two additional employees fired for social media comments regarding the Kirk shooting

Two more health workers have lost their jobs after making controversial remarks regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the founder and CEO of Turning Point USA.

In New Orleans, Acadian Ambulance Service confirmed the firings. The company stated, “We are aware of recent social media posts made by one of our employees. This post did not reflect the high standards of professional conduct expected of all members of our team. Employees then removed the post and were no longer employed by Acadian Ambulance Services.”

Children’s Healthcare in Atlanta has similarly fired an unnamed employee over inappropriate comments related to Kirk’s shooting death. A spokesperson emphasized that such rhetoric is unacceptable and violates their social media policies.

Kirk was assassinated on September 10th while addressing a gathering at Utah Valley University. In the wake of this tragedy, a growing number of employees across various sectors are facing termination or suspension for expressing supportive views toward violence in light of the incident.

Both organizations stressed their commitment to professionalism and respectful behavior, noting that their team members are dedicated to caring for others during critical moments. The overall sentiment reflects a broader intolerance for comments that could be seen as inciting violence, especially in the healthcare field.
