Attempted Assassination of Justice Kavanaugh: New Developments
Legal documents have revealed that federal authorities were aware of the individual who attempted to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Previously reported by Blaze News, Nicholas John Roske had shared an online post suggesting possible gender confusion. Recent filings indicate that he identifies as a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
“This attack on the lives of Supreme Court justices was effectively an assault on our entire judicial system,” a representative commented.
In June 2022, Roske was apprehended by police while carrying weapons and burglary tools near Kavanaugh’s residence, after being deterred by security personnel. He acknowledged that the leaked Supreme Court draft overturning Roe v. Wade motivated his actions against conservative justices.
Fast forward three years, in April, Roske pled guilty to attempted murder and now faces a potential life sentence.
Documents also reveal that Roske’s attorney has requested the court to recognize him as “Sophie Roske,” indicating a preference for female pronouns.
“The case is titled US v. Nicholas John Roske,” the lawyer stated, mentioning that they will address him as Sophie and use female pronouns throughout proceedings.
US Attorney General Pam Bondy expressed grave concerns regarding the incident. “This act of violence against Supreme Court justices is a serious attack on the judicial system,” she stated. “The Department of Justice is dedicated to condemning political violence, and we will ensure that this disturbed individual faces significant repercussions for his actions.”
Justice Department attorneys have argued that Roske merits more than three decades in prison.
