Jason Miller, a former senior adviser for Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign, highlighted the significant influence of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk during a Sunday memorial that attracted attention across college campuses globally, along with moments of silence at various sports events.
In a conversation with Matthew Boyle, chief of the Breitbart News Washington Bureau, Miller described Kirk’s memorial at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, as likely to draw crowds and media interest comparable to a “Super Bowl level” event. He anticipated it would showcase “one of the greatest overflows of love and support” people have experienced in their lifetimes.
“Tomorrow, I think you’ll see an incredible outpouring of affection and support that we’ve rarely witnessed,” he stated.
Miller shared a personal note, mentioning that his 16-year-old daughter was deeply affected by Kirk’s assassination, coming home from school in tears. He noted that both she and her friends were distressed by the loss of someone they admired.
“What you’re going to witness tomorrow is extraordinary, with the president and vice president attending, along with numerous leaders from across the nation and beyond. We’ve already seen tributes at football games and on campuses,” he shared, emphasizing that Charlie has sparked a larger movement.
Miller’s remarks came as Major League Baseball teams, including the New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs, observed moments of silence for Kirk, a gesture echoed by some NFL games.
He further reflected on Kirk’s global impact and the movement inspired by him, asserting that it’s truly widespread.
When discussing Kirk’s assassination, Miller stated, “I don’t feel pity for those losing their jobs,” claiming that such reactions reveal deep-seated malice in some individuals.
