A 23-year-old man, identified as Hunternadeau, was charged with second-degree murder after a shooting at a New Hampshire country club on Saturday night. The incident left one person dead and two others injured.
The victim, 59-year-old Robert Stephen Juduare, was shot at the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua around 7:30 PM during a wedding reception. Witnesses reported that Nadeau entered the venue and fired several shots, injuring two other guests whose identities have not been disclosed.
Tom Bartelson, a guest attending the wedding, recounted the horrifying experience. He mentioned that the shooter shouted phrases like “Free Palestine” while firing. “As we gathered for the bride and groom for a dance, all the chaos disappeared,” Bartelson explained to The Associated Press. He recalled hearing about six shots before everyone rushed for cover.
Authorities have confirmed a connection between Nadeau and the victims. Bartelson described the scene, noting that some guests panicked during the chaos as they sought safety. “We were trying to keep our families safe,” he said, emphasizing the urgency of finding a secure spot.
The shooter was apprehended at the scene, according to officials. Surveillance footage has reportedly shown that only one person was responsible for the gunfire, and Nadeau is currently in custody.
As the investigation continues, it’s expected that additional charges will be brought against Nadeau related to the injured guests. He is set to appear in court on Monday at Nashua’s 9th Circuit Court.
