Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk Remembered
Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, emphasized that “Make America great again” involves engaging young people and ensuring they feel included in the movement. White House Chief Suzie Wills spoke at a memorial on Sunday, acknowledging this mission.
Wills, who is typically more reserved, addressed a large crowd, marking the occasion at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The event highlighted the importance of encouraging millions of young people to get involved in politics, which is increasingly visible online.
“As our president says, it’s a common-sense move, and it makes sense,” Wills stated. She expressed her love for God, family, and country, emphasizing the need to inspire the next generation to uphold these values. “Through Turning Point, Charlie empowered countless young Americans to find their voices and actively participate in shaping their nation,” she added.
Kirk is largely recognized for mobilizing the youth vote in the 2024 presidential election, with exit polls indicating a significant rightward shift among Gen Z voters. He was a vibrant figure, committed to conservative values, and kicked off the American Comeback Tour at Utah Valley University earlier this month.
Wills mentioned that once the president’s 2024 campaign teamed up with Turning Point, Kirk not only made commitments but also followed through. “President Trump’s victory was fueled by young people who won key votes in several swing states, showing a fresh wave in politics,” she remarked.
“It was Charlie’s army, and he ensured they grasped the stakes,” Wills noted. “They stood out and outperformed others.”
She further stated that Kirk didn’t merely contribute; he led them to victory. “I believe Charlie still calls us to remain strong and resolute in his mission, and we should honor his legacy by continuing this work,” she urged, stressing the importance of making this movement feel like home for the current generation.
In closing, Wills extended her blessings to Kirk’s family, hoping they continue to find comfort and support.
