Trump Honors Charlie Kirk at Memorial
During a recent address at a memorial for the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk, President Donald Trump expressed his belief that Kirk’s organization, Turning Point USA, is on track to become “larger and stronger than ever.” He reminisced, stating that Kirk’s impact has only grown since his tragic passing two weeks ago, and emphasized Kirk’s enduring legacy.
“He is eternal. I love him, and he’s watching over us now,” Trump shared with the crowd, which he described as a gathering of patriots. He announced plans to posthumously present Kirk with the President’s Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian award, highlighting Kirk’s significant contributions to the organization.
Trump continued, “Charlie created something very special. Turning Point USA, now under Erica’s leadership, is thriving.” He affirmed a bright future for the organization, emphasizing its growth since Kirk’s death.
Kirk was shot on September 10 while speaking at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University. He left behind his wife Erica and two children.
A large turnout marked the memorial at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, only 11 days after Kirk’s assassination, showcasing the strong support the community has for him.
