Charlie Sheen was disconnected from the Mexican cartel due to his excessive drug use.

An Australian reporter was taken aback by a surprising admission from Charlie Sheen during his interview on Sunday night’s 60 Minutes.

The actor, now 60, sat down with Channel 9 journalist Amelia Adams as he promoted his new memoir, Scene, and the Netflix documentary Also known as Charlie Sheen.

Sheen, known for his role in Two and a Half Men, disclosed that during the height of his substance abuse, the Mexican cartel had cut him off from his drug supply.

“Did the cartel actually cut you off?” Adams asked, clearly astonished.

“They did,” Sheen admitted. “They’d never encountered someone gaining so much weight. The others they supplied were dealers, and they suspected I was one too.”

Adams then inquired if the rumors about him smoking “7 grams of crack cocaine” at a time were accurate.

“Well, we don’t really take it out and weigh it,” he replied. “But, yeah, that was the quantity needed to form that shape. At one point, I thought, ‘Um, we need a bigger pipe.’”

Sheen chuckled and added, “That’s a little funny, right?”

Adams, laughing along, voiced her relief that he was still around. “It’s funny, but I’m glad you’re alive,” she remarked.

Sheen, who was once the highest-paid actor on television, earning $1.8 million per episode for Two and a Half Men, faced a series of public outbursts in 2011 that led to his dismissal by Warner Bros. and CBS.

Notably, he had a confrontation with the show’s executive producer, Chuck Lorre.

In a series of candid statements, Sheen had infamously characterized himself as “hardly hated,” referring to his antics during that tumultuous period.

Now eight years sober, Sheen reflected on how his time with the series ended. “There was just a crazy storm of events in my personal life. I had failed marriages, and while I was grappling with all this, I still aimed to be there for my kids,” he shared.

“I went through two divorces and had four children during the show’s eight years,” he continued.

Additionally, he disclosed details from his book, talking about his experiences with sexual partners.

Sheen stated he felt compelled to be open about his past. “I wanted to know what it felt like to share this. It’s okay to express it instead of just keeping it hidden,” he remarked.

He also mentioned the importance of regaining control over his narrative, saying, “I’m not going to let fear dictate my life anymore.”
