Here’s a rundown of some tight end performances from week three. It might be worth checking the exemption wire before heading into week four. We categorize exemptions mainly for those players who are rostered in about 60% of leagues. Remember, this is the last week before teams finalize their active rosters.
Hunter Henry, TE, New England Patriots (48.5%)
The Patriots faced a tough 21-14 loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, but Hunter Henry did his part to keep the game competitive. Leading all tight ends this week, he caught eight of 11 targets for two touchdowns and amassed 90 yards.
Henry has been a top target for quarterback Drake May this season, particularly in the red zone. If you’re seeking depth at tight end this week, he might be a solid option.
Week 4 matchup: vs. Carolina Panthers, 1pm
Chig Okonkwo, TE, Tennessee Titans (22.2%)
Tennessee endured a tough loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, yet there were some positives to take away, especially from tight end Chig Okonkwo. He finished the day with five receptions for 66 yards, and his performance has steadily improved each week this season.
This development could be beneficial for the Titans as they search for their first win of the season, making him a potential depth piece for your roster.

Juwan Johnson, TE, New Orleans Saints (29.3%)
The Saints experienced a challenging 44-13 loss against the Seattle Seahawks in week three, but Juwan Johnson found success despite the scoreline. He caught six of eight targets, totaling 51 yards, which made him the leading receiver for New Orleans during the game.
With 19 receptions this year, Johnson ranks as the second tight end in PPR leagues following week three, averaging 14.2 fantasy points per game. He also leads all tight ends with 116 routes run this season, making him a key option for quarterback Derek Carr as he navigates these early weeks. If you’re having issues at tight end, now’s the time to consider bringing him onto your team.

Brenton Strange, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars (25.9%)
Jacksonville secured a 17-10 division win against the Houston Texans, and Brenton Strange played a part in that victory. He led the team by catching six of seven targets for 61 yards. While he’s been productive in the past few weeks, he hasn’t delivered a standout performance yet this season.
Currently ranked sixth among tight ends with 10.9 Total EPA, Strange should remain a reliable target for quarterback Trevor Lawrence. He’s also available for those needing additional tight end depth.
