It seems that $AP Rocky may have hinted at the possibility of him and Rihanna being secretly married before the arrival of their third child together.
In an interview with Elle Magazine, which came out on Tuesday, when asked if he looked forward to becoming her husband, the rapper humorously replied, “Do you know I’m not yet my husband?”
He added, laughing, “I’m not going to check that yet.”
Rocky reflected on his home life with Rihanna, who is 37, emphasizing that they prioritize family time when they’re with their two kids, RZA (3) and Riot (2). “We don’t talk much about work because we handle it every day,” he said. “When you go home, it’s about family. It’s about your relationship. It’s about your home. It’s not about all the other stuff.”
Regarding their upcoming addition, Rocky expressed excitement, revealing that he hopes for a girl this time around. “We pray for the girls,” he shared, explaining that they chose to learn the gender for this pregnancy but opted not to know for the previous ones. “For the first time, we wanted to know the baby’s gender. We didn’t want to know the second time. The third time, we didn’t want to know.”
Rocky believes this pregnancy feels different and is convinced it’s going to be a girl. “You can tell from experience. I hope it’s a baby girl. I need it,” he said.
Rihanna first revealed her pregnancy in May, showcasing her baby bump before the Met Gala in New York City. Since they began dating in 2020, the couple has sparked multiple rumors about marriage, including some playful hints in the music video for “DMB” in 2022. Rihanna referred to herself as Rocky’s “wife” previously when discussing her role at home.
“Motherhood, wife-like, just a homebody. I love it,” she expressed to e! news, sharing her enthusiasm for building traditions within their small family.
In another instance, Rocky referred to Rihanna as his “wife” while chatting with a fashion insider earlier this year, further fueling speculation about their status.
