UN holds Trump team responsible for malfunctioning escalator and teleprompter

UN blames Trump team for nonworking escalator, teleprompter

UN Holds Trump and Media Accountable

On Tuesday, the United Nations addressed issues regarding President Trump and the media, following technical difficulties such as a malfunctioning teleprompter and an escalator that suddenly halted before his speech at the General Assembly.

The UN reported that videographers from the US delegation inadvertently triggered a safety mechanism on the escalator while recording the president’s arrival.

“They intervened in the escalator’s operation before the president and first lady boarded,” a spokesperson stated, explaining that the videographer at the top caused the escalator to stop just as they were making their way up.

This finding came as part of an internal investigation. The probe also indicated that White House personnel were responsible for handling the teleprompters during a brief tech outage, according to sources who spoke on condition of anonymity.

In a response to the situation, White House spokesperson Caroline Leavitt suggested that if someone at the UN had purposely caused the escalator to malfunction, it would warrant immediate dismissal and an investigation. She humorously remarked about the potential for jokes regarding the escalator’s failure before the president’s arrival.

Meanwhile, reports have surfaced regarding the suspension of elevator and escalator services in both the UN’s New York and Geneva offices amid a financial crunch.

During his speech, President Trump criticized international organizations for contributing to “uncontrolled migration” and expressed skepticism about the UN’s effectiveness while addressing global leaders.

“I ended seven wars and worked with those leaders, and yet I’ve never received a call from the UN,” Trump stated. “All I got was an escalator that decided to stop halfway. Thankfully, the first lady is in great shape; otherwise, it could have ended badly.”
