The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has initiated a recall affecting around 500,000 items that were sold through Amazon.
This recall includes several products like power banks, children’s helmets, dressers, portable fans, crib mobiles, and baby loungers. The safety issues raised range from risks of fire to potential suffocation and injury.
Here’s a summary of the recalled products:
LXDHSTRA Baby Lounger and Crib Bumper
CPSC reported that roughly 360 baby loungers branded as LXDHSTRA, available on Amazon, have been flagged due to multiple violations regarding infant sleep product safety. Concerns include low sides, thick sleeping pads, and an enclosed foot area.
The accompanying crib bumper poses a risk since it might obstruct breathing and lead to choking hazards for infants.
Consumers are advised to cease using these products and contact the manufacturer via email for a full refund. More details can be found on the CPSC website.
Anker Power Banks
About 481,000 power banks from Anker are being recalled because of potential overheating issues in the lithium-ion batteries, which increases the risk of fire and burns. The affected models are:
- Anker Power Bank (20,000MAH, 22.5W, built-in USB-C cable) – Model A1647
- Anker Maggo Power Bank (10,000MAH, 7.5W) – Model A1652
- Anker Power Bank (10K, 22.5W) – Model A1257
- Anker Zolo Power Bank (20K, 30W, Built-in USB-C and Lightning Cable) – Model A1681
- Anker Zolo Power Bank (20K, 30W, Built-in USB-C Cable) – Model A1689
Customers with affected models can complete a recall form on Anker’s website to receive a refund. After verification, it’s recommended to dispose of the power bank properly at a facility that accepts lithium-ion products.
Icybreeze Buddy Portable Mist Fan
Approximately 22,600 mist fans under the Icybreeze brand are also recalled due to risks of overheating during charging, potentially leading to fires. Customers can find more information on how to request a refund on the company’s website.
Enhomee Kid’s Dresser
The CPSC noted that around 11,200 dressers being recalled could cause serious injuries or even fatalities to young children if they tip over. To ensure safety, the dressers should be anchored to the wall.
Consumers can reach out to the company’s website for refund information.
Youbeien Crib Mobile
The recall also affects about 3,000 Youbeien crib mobiles. There’s a risk that infants could access the battery compartment, which may result in choking hazards if swallowed. Customers are urged to stop using the mobile and follow the instructions on the CPSC website for refunds.
Yooxarmor Kids’ Helmets
The CPSC has flagged 1,780 kids’ helmets from Yooxarmor due to non-compliance with safety standards. Parents should refrain from using these helmets and submit a photo of the product to the company for a potential refund. Additional information can be found on the CPSC’s site.
