William Shatner, 94, taken to hospital due to health crisis

William Shatner was hospitalized on Wednesday due to a medical concern.

The actor faced blood sugar issues while at his Los Angeles home and decided to seek medical assistance as a safety measure, according to reports.

An ambulance rushed the “Star Trek” icon to a nearby hospital.

Shatner, 94, is now reported to be in “good” condition and “comfortable,” as detailed by various sources.

Representatives for Shatner have not yet provided further statements on the matter.

Last year, the former host of “Rescue 911” shared that he had overcome fourth-stage melanoma, marking a significant personal milestone.

Shatner has previously talked about his cancer diagnosis, reflecting on a moment when a doctor delivered potentially devastating news with a heavy heart.

He recounted, “The person who said, ‘I’m sorry,’ looked really sad, as if to say, ‘You’re going to die.’ And honestly, I was.” This was related to his melanoma diagnosis, but he has since maintained a positive outlook on life.

Shatner was also diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2016, which later turned out to be a misdiagnosis.

“That was extremely frightening,” he noted in a past interview, recalling a time when he was told he was terminally ill and began planning for the end.

Despite health challenges, Shatner has kept an active schedule, recently featuring as Kirk in a new short film titled “765874 – Unification.” He has continued making public appearances, including one last month at Dragon Con, and he is set to participate in the Space 2 Sea event in the Galapagos Islands this November.

Shatner has been married four times and has three daughters: Leslie, Lisabeth, and Melanie. He finalized his latest divorce from Elizabeth Shatner in 2020.
