"Violence Is Not The Solution, Under Any Circumstances": Harris Faulkner Confronts Democratic Guest During Anti-ICE Protest

Discussion Sparks Over ICE Riot in Illinois

On Friday’s “Faulkner Focus,” Fox News host Harris Faulkner faced strong criticism from a Democratic guest following a riot at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Illinois.

President Donald Trump referenced federal enforcement actions that took place in Chicago on August 25, sharing his thoughts on social media. Faulkner referred to the unrest in Broadview, a suburb of Chicago, as a “riot.”

“The chaos we see is not from peaceful protesters. We need to call it what it is,” he remarked to Fox News contributor Leslie Marshall. He urged Democrats to confront this situation, suggesting they lack direction in managing their party if they don’t take a stand against such violence.

In response to the mob’s actions, federal agents resorted to using pepper balls. Various online videos depicted some protesters demanding that ICE agents be shot or arrested.

“Violence is certainly not the solution, yet here in Los Angeles…” Marshall started, only to be interrupted by Faulkner, who emphasized that violence should not be tolerated.

Marshall continued, emphasizing the violent tactics in play, noting that the individuals involved often have criminal backgrounds. “They’re protesting for reasons that are deeply rooted,” she said.

The Department of Homeland Security condemned the violence, attributing it to the ongoing tensions between Illinois’ Democratic leaders and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson. The DHS stated that the repeated negative portrayals of ICE contributed to the riots, leading to multiple arrests for various violent offenses.

Tragically, a shooting incident linked to the Dallas ICE office left one person dead. In Texas, prior events involving the ICE have seen ten individuals charged with attempted murder since July 4.

Resistance to ICE operations has emerged in places like Milwaukee and Nashville, where local leaders have allegedly assisted undocumented immigrants evade ICE enforcement. Additionally, in New York City, a Democratic mayoral candidate was reportedly arrested for obstructing an ICE operation at a courthouse.
