Two individuals charged in the shooting of a youth baseball coach gained citizenship during Biden's administration, according to DHS.

In Texas, two of the three men arrested for shooting a youth baseball coach were given citizenship during the Biden administration, as revealed by the Department of Homeland Security.

The incident occurred at Katie’s Amelie Park Youth Baseball Stadium and was reported on Sunday. According to a press release from the Waller County Sheriff’s Office, police received a call about a shot fired around 9:50 AM, leading them to a scene where someone had been shot.

“Bullets were flying everywhere. It wasn’t just one shot,” a witness described. “They were ricocheting off pillars and into the field; it was incredible.”

When authorities arrived, they found a 27-year-old coach who had been shot in the shoulder. He was airlifted to a hospital and then released after treatment.

Following their investigation, police determined that three men had fired the shots, which hit the coach. The suspects were identified as 23-year-old Mahmood Abdelsalam Rababah, 21-year-old Ahmad Mawed, and 27-year-old Mustafa Mohammad Matalgah.

There’s also been some skepticism about how quickly police showed they were convinced that the shooting was a mistake, especially considering the presence of many children on the field.

Two other coaches spoke about how chaotic the situation was. “Our team was on the field, and just as things were settling, the shots started firing,” recalled one of them. “Thankfully, we got the kids to their parents.”

Each of the suspects faces a charge of felony discharge of a firearm, with their bonds set at $100,000.

DHS later confirmed on its official social media that the two suspects had received U.S. citizenship under the Biden administration.

According to their post, “Two of the individuals who fired at a children’s baseball field in Katy, Texas, obtained citizenship under the Biden administration. They shouldn’t have been allowed in the country.” They further emphasized their commitment to preventing such incidents in the future.
