Bad Bunny announced as the halftime performer for Super Bowl 2026

Bad Bunny to Perform at Super Bowl 2026 Halftime Show

Bad Bunny is set to take the stage at the Super Bowl 2026 halftime show, which will be held at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco. The announcement was made during the Packers-Cowboys Sunday Night Football game.

This marks a continuation of high-profile acts following Kendrick Lamar’s performance last year.

Known as Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, Bad Bunny is currently the most streamed artist in the world and has won three Grammy Awards. “What I feel is beyond myself,” he expressed in a statement. “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards. I can come in and get a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history.”

He shared the news on social media, with his song “Callaita” playing in the background.

Previously, Bad Bunny performed during the Super Bowl 2020 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami as a guest of Shakira and Jennifer Lopez.

Recently, he wrapped up a 31-night residency at El Choli in San Juan, Puerto Rico. His final show, titled “Una Más,” became the most-watched live stream on Amazon Music so far.

While most of his lyrics are in Spanish, his unique style makes him an intriguing choice for the Super Bowl show.

Earlier this month, he discussed challenges regarding his concerts in the U.S. for his upcoming 2025-26 tour, citing concerns from Immigration and Customs Enforcement about potential disruptions. “We had an issue where F-King ICE could be outside, which is something we were talking about and we were very concerned about,” he noted.

He also mentioned that one reason for not including U.S. dates is Puerto Rico’s unique status as a territory. “There were many reasons why I didn’t show up in the U.S., but none of them were out of hatred. I played there many times,” he indicated. “All [the shows] are successful. They are all epic. I enjoy connecting with Latinos who live in the U.S. But specifically, in the case of a residency here in Puerto Rico, when we are an unincorporated territory of the U.S., people in the U.S. could come here to watch the show.”

The Super Bowl is scheduled for February 8, 2026.
