Taylor Swift delivered a touching and entertaining speech at the wedding of her close friend, Selena Gomez, and Benny Blanco.
The couple tied the knot on Saturday at Seacrest Nursery in Santa Barbara, California, surrounded by around 170 loved ones, including Swift.
During the ceremony, Swift, who recently got engaged to Travis Kelce, playfully remarked, “I joked in a speech about Serena defeating her on the altar, but at least the two have found the love of their lives.”
Although some parts of her speech had a humorous touch, overall it was described as “so beautiful,” leading to emotional moments with tears from the bride and several guests.
According to sources, Swift emphasized her unwavering support for Gomez, highlighting their sister-like bond. Gomez views Swift as family, while Swift credits Gomez with teaching her valuable life lessons.
The singer of “Blank Space” reflected on the many struggles they’ve faced together, both in their careers and personal lives, often being there for each other during tough breakups.
Swift reportedly described Benny as “the most perfect person” for Gomez, celebrating their love and the special connection they share.
“We’re not lucky; they found each other. It’s love,” she added, emphasizing the beauty of their relationship.
She went on to praise the newlyweds as the “perfect pair.” Gomez and Blanco began their relationship in the summer of 2023, coinciding with Swift’s romance with the Kansas City Chiefs player.
When the couple announced their engagement in December 2024, Swift even joked about taking on the role of flower girl.
