WWE shares details about John Cena's farewell match

John Cena’s Final WWE Match Announced

John Cena’s last WWE match is set to take place during the main event on December 13th in Washington, as confirmed by the organization. This event will be hosted at Capital One Arena, marking a significant close to his illustrious career in professional wrestling, where he has held the WWE World Championship 17 times.

“John’s contribution to WWE is immeasurable. There’s really no way to express how much he means to this business,” remarked Paul H. Levesque, WWE’s chief content officer, in a press statement. “We are excited to celebrate his legacy with our partners at Events DC and Capital One Arena while giving him and the WWE universe an unforgettable farewell.”

Tickets for Cena’s farewell match will go on sale at 10 AM on October 17th, with a presale event available through Ticketmaster starting October 15th.

In a unique collaboration, WWE is also working with Ghostwrite to launch a special collectible toy featuring Cena, available through a blind auction starting Tuesday.

“The Ghost tells the story. It’s tough to find a more compelling narrative than this. It’s John Cena’s final match, spanning over 20 years. It’s an honor to partner with WWE on this collectible that captures this moment,” a representative commented.

Details on Cena’s final opponent remain unclear. However, he is lined up for what’s being dubbed a “dream match” against AJ Styles at the Crown Jewel event in Perth, Australia, scheduled for October 11th.

With Cena stepping away following his match against Brock Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza, the anticipation surrounding this farewell is palpable. Fans are eager to see how this iconic figure will conclude his wrestling journey.
