Recently uncovered note cards from the Biden administration reveal names and photographs of various Democrats, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. These cards were obtained through a review by Fox News Digital of national archives related to autopenned documents used by Biden.
Five note cards, often used by politicians as quick reminders during public appearances, were discovered. Four of these cards bore the stamp “The President saw it,” but notably, the fifth card, which outlined questions from an ABC News reporter, did not carry that stamp.
It’s uncertain how reliant Biden is on these cards during events. Fox News Digital reached out to his office for comment, but there hasn’t been a response yet.
On January 4, 2025, former President Biden presented the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Hillary Clinton. The medal is the top civilian honor in the United States and was one of the highlights during Biden’s administration. One of the palm cards included details about Clinton, accompanied by a photo and a brief biography.
Additionally, the cards contained information on other notable figures, such as actor Denzel Washington, who also received the award that January. The notes described him as one of the greatest actors of the 21st century and included brief biographies of other recipients, like chef José Andrés and philanthropist David Rubenstein.
Another card featured a speech about judicial confirmations, showing photos of Senate leaders Chuck Schumer and Dick Durbin along with their state affiliations. This card, like the others, was stamped “The President saw.”
In January, Biden celebrated confirming 235 judicial candidates in a speech. His relationship with Schumer and Durbin has been highlighted throughout his presidency and public events.
There’s also a card that listed families connected to Hollywood director Francis Ford Coppola ahead of the 2024 Kennedy Center honors. Another card noted an event on January 18, featuring a short biography of the Pritzker family and a photo with the “The President saw it” label.
A fifth card included a question from ABC News reporter Mary Bruce during a press conference, written as “Question #3,” addressing Biden’s outlook on his presidency and inquiries about a debt limit bill. In an earlier press conference, Biden was caught referring to this specific card as he interacted with the press.
Concerns about Biden’s reliance on these palm cards have sparked discussions, especially regarding his age and mental acuity as he campaigns for re-election. Some have pointed out that polling indicates many Americans believe he shouldn’t run again.
Press officials from the White House emphasized the contrast between Biden’s approach and that of former President Trump, who was known for his unfiltered press interactions. Biden’s use of palm cards has become a focal point in ongoing debates over his capabilities, particularly amid scrutiny regarding the use of autopens to sign official documents.
The Biden administration faces ongoing criticism, with calls for an investigation into the use of autopens during his tenure as worries grow about Biden’s health and effectiveness as he continues to navigate the political landscape.
