Pennsylvania Man Arrested for Double Murder and Child Drowning

Authorities in Pennsylvania have reported a tragic incident involving a 61-year-old man, who allegedly killed a couple out of jealousy after the woman, identified as 31-year-old Geraldina Pegromancebo, refused to leave her husband for him. Following the killings, he reportedly also drowned the couple’s one-year-old son.

On September 13, police discovered the body of 32-year-old Junior Cabrera Colon in a wooded area near a basketball court in Reading. It appears that the vehicle involved parked in that location for about 35 minutes before moving to a nearby muddy swamp.

Family members informed authorities that they hadn’t heard from Pegromancebo since approximately 8:30 PM on September 12. An investigation revealed that her phone, through cell data obtained via a warrant, had not moved from their home until around 9:42 PM that same night.

By September 19, police found remains on an access road in East Haller Lane, close to where Colon’s body had been located. A child’s pacifier was also found nearby, but the child, Jadon Junior Peguero, was missing.

Security footage indicated that Pegromancebo and her child were seen entering Rodriguez’s vehicle at 8:26 PM on September 12. Initially, he confessed to picking them up but claimed he dropped them off safely. However, phone records indicated that he had traveled with them towards Reading and then into wholesale clubs. The footage later showed the car heading towards the area where the bodies were found around 9 PM.

Rodriguez later confessed to the murders, reportedly saying he was angered by the refusal of Pegromancebo to leave her husband. He claimed she took advantage of him financially, which contributed to his rage.

In a disturbing admission, he mentioned throwing Jadon into a muddy area, suggesting the child was alive at the time. Authorities confirmed the child’s body was located in a wetland area, where an autopsy revealed he had drowned.

Rodriguez guided officers to where he had hidden evidence, including his wallet and cell phone, as well as the weapon used in the crime. He is currently held without bail at the Berks County Jail, facing three counts of first-degree murder and charges related to abuse of a corpse.
