Nicole Kidman Files for Divorce from Keith Urban

The actress, known for her roles in “Big Little Lies,” took that step on Tuesday, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. In a document acquired by Fox News Digital, she mentioned facing “difficulty in marriage.”
This summer, Urban, who is 57, had an awkward moment during an Australian radio interview. He abruptly ended the conversation when the host brought up Kidman, looking rather uncomfortable with the direction it was heading.
The couple’s last public appearance together was in June at the FIFA Club World Cup match in Nashville. Earlier that month, Urban had cut off an interview that focused on his wife during a segment on “Haley & Max in the Morning.” When asked about Kidman and her career, he ended the call almost immediately, leaving the co-host puzzled about what had just happened.
Urban’s discomfort seemed apparent, as his reaction suggested that personal topics were off-limits. This wasn’t the first time he had appeared uneasy discussing their relationship in public.
Kidman continues to dive into her work, recently portraying intense characters in films like “Family Events” and “Babygirl.” In those roles, she delves into complex emotional situations, which can be quite challenging.
In another interview, Urban was asked about his wife’s constant presence in the film industry. He hesitated before replying about the balance between their work lives, indicating it can be tricky to navigate.
Recently, it became evident that Urban had made some changes to lyrics in his song “The Fighter,” reflecting an acknowledgment or perhaps a tribute to Kidman. Meanwhile, Kidman’s divorce filing requested that she be named the primary custodial parent for their two daughters, aiming for a structured parenting plan.
Although Kidman has been busy filming, Urban is currently on tour, with his next concert scheduled for October 2nd in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
