Fox News Dominates YouTube Viewership in Q3 2025

Fox News Media finished the third quarter of 2025 as YouTube’s leading news brand, having garnered over 1 billion video views. This performance surpassed MSNBC by more than 200 million views, and when combined, NBC News, ABC News, and CBS News fell behind significantly.

In total, Fox News saw a 45% increase in views compared to the previous year. They pulled in 848 million views, while MSNBC had 427 million, NBC News 359 million, ABC News 159 million, and CBS News also managed 159 million.

Strong Quarter Performance

For September alone, Fox News achieved 408 million video views, placing it far ahead of MSNBC with 254 million and CNN at 232 million. NBC News had 135 million, ABC News drew in 128 million, and CBS News concluded with 70 million. It’s worth noting that this marked Fox’s fourth consecutive quarter topping all news brands on YouTube.

This success is not just about numbers; Fox News has really pushed its presence on the platform throughout 2025. Launched in May, the Fox News Clip accounts provide timely reports and analyses, helping attract over 14.5 million subscribers to the main Fox News account. Additionally, Fox Business achieved 166 million views on YouTube during this quarter.

Social Media Engagement

On social media, Fox News also set a record with over 500 million interactions across platforms like Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and X. This includes 283 million interactions on Facebook, 98 million on Instagram, 19.4 million on X, and 105.4 million on TikTok.

When it comes to traditional television viewership, Fox News continues to lead. The channel averaged 3.3 million viewers in weekday primetime until September, again outperforming CBS and ABC, which each had 3.1 million, and NBC with 3 million. MSNBC averaged 1.2 million viewers, while CNN had 641,000, falling behind even ESPN’s average of 2.1 million.

Weekend Lineup Upgrades

Fox News has also announced enhancements to its weekend programming, reinforcing its pledge to deliver exceptional coverage. In the third quarter, the network averaged 1.6 million viewers overall, dwarfing MSNBC’s 492,000 and CNN’s 396,000. During primetime, Fox News drew a total audience of 2.5 million, compared to MSNBC’s 802,000 and CNN’s 538,000.

This impressive performance marks the 95th consecutive quarter in which Fox News has maintained its position as the top cable news network among primetime viewers.
