Rumors are swirling that Keith Urban’s estranged father has found a new romantic interest following his divorce from Nicole Kidman.
Chuck Beau, whose daughter, Maggie Beau, plays guitar for Urban, spoke about their relationship. He seemed uncertain about any romantic links between the two. “I really don’t know much about it, other than she’s a guitarist for him,” he remarked in an interview.
Chuck met Urban at a concert in Las Vegas last year and emphasized that he views their connection as professional. “It’s more about the music than anything else,” he clarified.
The news of Kidman and Urban’s separation became public earlier this week when the actress officially filed for divorce in Nashville.
Sources suggest that they had been apart since the beginning of summer, with Urban already relocating to his own space in Nashville. Kidman cited “irreconcilable differences” in the divorce documents.
Insiders indicate that Urban might be seeing someone else, although it’s unclear when this developed—whether before or after his split with Kidman. “It’s reported that he might be with another woman,” one source told TMZ, adding that Kidman is taken aback by this. “It’s pretty much the talk of Nashville,” the source noted.
Speculation about Urban’s new interest gained traction when it was revealed he altered song lyrics to hint at Beau during a recent performance.
A Nashville radio expert remarked on Urban’s demeanor, suggesting there’s something more at play. “Even if I didn’t know, I’d feel there’s something going on,” he said. He described the rumored new lady as a young brunette musician, fitting well into the scene.
Another source mentioned that gossip around town suggests Urban and his guitarist have been involved for some time. “It’s like one big high school over here; everyone knows quite a bit,” they claimed.
Maggie made her debut with Urban at the CMT Music Awards and has since performed with him on various shows. She officially joined his tour band in May.
In the meantime, Kidman has been spotted hiking with her sister in Nashville, marking one of her first public appearances since filing for divorce. Reports suggest she is leaning on family and friends, including Naomi Watts, for support during this challenging time.
The couple, who first met at a gala in early 2005 and married the following year, shares two daughters, Sunday Rose and 14-year-old Faith Margaret. In the divorce filings, Kidman expressed a desire to be the primary caregiver, with a proposed parenting plan allocating 306 days with her and 59 days with Urban.
