Taylor Swift recently opened up about her engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce, sharing how he made the proposal truly memorable. According to Swift, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end didn’t fumble the proposal at all.
In an interview with the “Graham Norton Show,” Swift talked about how Kelce surprised her. “He really surprised me and crushed it,” she said. Swift, who just released her album “The Life of a Showgirl,” revealed that he had a beautiful garden built behind his house for the occasion.
She expressed her excitement, giving him a perfect score, saying, “He’s all gone out – 10 out of 10.”
While wearing a stylish black mini dress adorned with jewels, Swift was also queried about her wedding planning. With a playful tone, she said, “You know, I want to focus on the album stuff first, and then we’ll see about the wedding. Planning is fun.”
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on August 26 after a two-year relationship. In another recent interview, she elaborated on the thoughtful design of her engagement ring, speaking highly of the custom piece.
“He designed it with this incredible jeweller, Kindred Lebeck,” Swift shared. “She handcrafts all her gold sculptures.” She recalled showing him some of Lebeck’s work long before their engagement and was amazed when she saw the ring, exclaiming that she recognized the jeweller’s expertise.
She reflected on how in tune Kelce was with her preferences, remarking, “It felt like you really knew me. I didn’t know what I wanted, but he did somehow.” The ring, estimated to be between 8 to 15 carats, features an old mine cushion cut diamond.
Interestingly, Swift hinted that she might have had an inkling about the proposal while working on her song “Showgirl Life,” which alludes to finding “The One” after past heartbreaks. She sings lyrics that suggest a shift in her luck, indicating a newfound happiness with Kelce.
In August, the couple shared a heartwarming announcement on social media, using playful humor in the caption, referring to their teachers as a lighthearted nod to their professions. The romance blossomed in 2023, captivating fans globally.
