Stephen A. Smith comments on Rep Crockett's anti-Trump political performance

Stephen A. Smith Critiques Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s Focus

On his radio show, host Stephen A. Smith expressed concerns about Rep. Jasmine Crockett from Texas. He argued that she seems more invested in anti-Trump theatrics than in serving her constituents effectively.

Smith pointed out a historical trend regarding how black voters have been treated, suggesting they’ve been manipulated into voting for Democrats through fear tactics. It’s as if, he implies, the votes were gained at the cost of real advocacy and support for the community.

“I’ve always said, when white folks catch a cold, black folks get pneumonia. It’s a stark difference,” he remarked. He believes the current political strategy feels more about emotions and performance than about actual solutions. It’s frustrating, really. Sort of a game of checkers instead of chess, where the focus is misplaced.

Crockett’s Critique of Trump Supporters

Smith took issue with how Crockett articulates her stance on Trump, calling her approach ineffective. He questioned whether her actions truly help Texas and its residents. “Are you going to help your district?” he asked, implying that the concentration should be on productive dialogue rather than reflexive opposition.

He respects intelligent discourse but feels that compromise is often necessary for progress, not just political posturing. It’s about achieving goals—not building walls, he explained.

The Bigger Picture

Smith seemed amused by Crockett’s strategy, arguing, “That’s not going to work!” He underscored the reality that, given the current political landscape, stopping those in power might not be feasible. There are bigger forces at play, especially with Republicans in control of both the Senate and the House.

He made a comparison to Senator Joe Manchin’s political presence in West Virginia, pointing out that, similarly, Crockett ought to prioritize her constituents in Texas, rather than pursue partisan battles. “I wonder if she understands that,” he mused.

Fox News Digital reached out to Rep. Crockett for her thoughts but did not receive an immediate reply.
