Chili's menu updates cause online backlash as customers express confusion over the choice

Chile is introducing new products aimed at enhancing its appeal to customers, especially by revamping some favorites from its children’s and dessert menus.

Concerns were raised by users in the Reddit community R/Chilis when some leaked images hinted at upcoming changes in the casual dining chain’s offerings.

What’s getting cut? Notable items like the kids’ pepperoni pizza, cheese quesadillas, and mini molten desserts are disappearing.

This shift has sparked quite a backlash online.

“No more kids’ quesadillas! That was my daughter’s go-to!” one user lamented. “And can we please have the chocolate shake back? I’m really craving it.”

Another customer shared frustrations saying, “They’re taking quesadillas off the menu—that’s everything my son eats. First it was orange, then corn on the cob, and now this!”

Some users expressed their disappointment over the mini molten option, which many considered the perfect dessert size.

“I can’t let my kid eat too much sugar—that’s just excessive,” one wrote. “The mini molten was just right for us to split.”

“No more mini molten? My daughter is heartbroken,” another added. “She adored her little desserts.”

People were also puzzled by the removal of quesadillas for kids.

“I honestly don’t understand it,” one commenter questioned. “We have tortillas and cheese. Why remove it?”

“It’s just two tortillas with cheese—how does that get cut?” another chimed in.

A spokesperson for Chile confirmed the changes to Fox News Digital.

“We’re simplifying the menu, so we’re removing the mini molten in favor of a full-size portion, along with kids’ pepperoni pizza and cheese quesadillas,” the spokesperson stated.

But don’t worry—Kids Cheese Pizza is still available on the menu.

The restaurant plans to introduce its New Southwestern Queso on October 7th, replacing the previous queso varieties.

This new queso features “American and cheddar cheese along with notes of fire-roasted green chili peppers, onions, and lime for a bold flavor,” as noted by the company.

Members will be able to enjoy a limited free portion of the new queso, available until October 21st.
