Giants Bring “Dirt Show” to New Orleans

Rookie quarterback Jackson Dart continued to impress on Sunday, building on his successful debut against the Chargers last week. He threw two touchdown passes for the Giants, helping them lead the Saints early in the game.

One memorable moment came in the second quarter when Dart connected with tight end Theo Johnson on a 15-yard pass for a touchdown. The CBS broadcast zoomed in on Dart’s parents, Kara and Brandon, sharing the excitement with enthusiastic fans at the Caesars Superdome.

Before the game kicked off, Dart was seen interacting with his biggest supporters on the sidelines as he prepared for his second career start.

Dart was the 25th overall pick in the recent NFL Draft and was named the Giants’ starting quarterback in late September after a challenging 0-3 start with veteran Russell Wilson at the helm.

In his debut against the Giants, Dart completed 13 of 20 attempts for 111 yards and one touchdown in a narrow 21-18 victory.

His family, especially his mom, Kara, gained popularity online around draft time, showing their loyalty and support. Dart mentioned how the Saints had chosen another player instead of him with their ninth overall pick, making a note of the extra motivation that gave him.

“I think there’s always a chip on my shoulder when something like that happens,” Dart reflected. “I’ll just keep giving it my all.”

In his second game, Dart had an impressive first half, completing 11 of 16 passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns, although the Saints managed to close the gap to 16-14.

The Giants will receive the ball to start the second half. Looking ahead, they have a quick turnaround with a match against their rivals, the Eagles, on “Thursday Night Football.”

The reigning Super Bowl champions entered this week with a perfect 4-0 record.
