Truck Driver Attacked by Mark Sanchez: Family Provides Update

In Indianapolis, the family of a truck driver claimed to have been violently assaulted outside a bar by former football player Mark Sanchez has informed the media about his condition.

“He’s fine,” a family member of the 69-year-old driver, referred to only by his initials PT, remarked to the Post on Sunday.

The family mentioned they are consulting with their lawyers first, indicating a desire to understand the situation fully before making any further statements. “Thank you,” they added.

Disturbing images of the alleged victim revealed him in a hospital bed wearing a neck brace, with serious injuries to his face and neck.

According to the family, he was injured during a fight, which resulted in a severe cut that went through his cheek and affected his tongue. Fox59 anchor Angela Ganote highlighted this detail, sharing the information on social media.

Reports indicate that the confrontation with Sanchez occurred just after midnight on Saturday. The affidavit details that Sanchez approached PT and appeared to sniff alcohol, struggling with his speech.

PT didn’t have hearing aids, which he used to manage the noise from his truck while changing out used cooking oil, requiring him to lean in for conversation.

The affidavit further states that Sanchez allegedly assaulted PT, throwing him to the ground and then stabbing him during what was deemed self-defense.

Initially hospitalized in critical condition, Sanchez has since been released from the hospital in stable condition.

After receiving treatment for a stab wound to his chest, Sanchez was taken to Marion County Jail where he was charged with public intoxication and battery. Reports indicate he posted a $300 cash bond shortly after booking.

Interestingly, Sanchez claimed to have no memory of the events surrounding the incident, as noted in the arrest affidavit.
