Lopez and Affleck Reunite at Film Premiere
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck recently appeared together on the red carpet for the premiere of their new film, “Kiss of the Spider Woman.” This movie, featuring Lopez, was co-produced by Affleck and his business partner Matt Damon through their company, Artist Equity.
Affleck was spotted with his arms around Lopez’s waist, and the pair exchanged smiles. At one point, he leaned in to whisper something to her, hinting at a friendly rapport despite their past.
Lopez dazzled in a green, off-shoulder dress adorned with floral prints, and she had a unique black structure resembling spider legs that extended from her waist. Affleck opted for a classic blue suit with a white shirt, going without a tie.
During the film’s introduction, Lopez expressed her gratitude towards Affleck, saying, “Thank you so much for being here tonight. This film wouldn’t exist without you, Ben, and without Artist Equity.”
Their relationship is quite a story; they first met on the set of “Gigli” back in 2002, got engaged, but the engagement ended in 2004. Fast forward to April 2021, they reunited, married in August 2022, but split just two years later, filing for divorce in August 2024.
In a recent interview, Affleck spoke highly of Lopez, calling her “great” and praised her performance in the film. “I’m incredibly proud of this movie,” he insisted, expressing his excitement for the audience to see it.
Lopez discussed her experience filming the movie, noting that it brought her both challenges and growth. She described the time as one of the best and worst periods of her life, shedding light on the feelings surrounding her marriage and professional commitments. Yet, she stated that despite the dark moments, the experience had changed her profoundly. “It made me more self-aware and appreciative of the joy life brings,” she reflected.
With her journey, Lopez noted, “If you embrace life’s lessons, it all becomes lighter, and you can really soar.” When asked about whether she felt she’s flying now, she confidently replied, “Yes, I still want to fly higher.”
