Arizona Drag Performer Arrested for Alleged Sexual Conduct with Minor

A notable Arizona drag performer has been arrested in connection with allegations of having sexual relations with a 13-year-old boy he met through a dating app.

Michael Browder, who goes by the stage name Aubre Gallic, is 35 years old and had previously appeared at the Phoenix Pride Festival. He reportedly admitted to engaging in sexual activity with the teenager but claimed he believed the boy was at least 18 or 19 years old.

According to court documents, the 13-year-old told authorities that he had presented himself as 18 on the dating app and arranged to meet Browder, along with another man, for sexual encounters at different times.

While interviewing the boy, police noted he did not know the identities of the adult men he was communicating with online. Investigators later uncovered one of their chats, linking Browder to the case and labeling him as a “known Phoenix drug queen.” During a police interview on September 16, Browder acknowledged his meetings with the victim and insisted he thought the victim was older than he actually was. He mentioned that the lighting in the victim’s apartment made it difficult to confirm the boy’s age.

Browder is facing two counts of sexual conduct with a minor. Following his arrest, he was released on a $10,000 bond, but with conditions that prevent him from using GPS monitoring or having contact with minors.

As for the second person mentioned by the juvenile, authorities have yet to identify or charge him.

In response to the situation, Phoenix Pride has removed Browder from their festival lineup, emphasizing that the accused behavior contradicts what the organization represents. The event organizers clarified that Browder has not been convicted of a crime; rather, he was removed based on the information available to ensure the safety and integrity of their community.
