Hilaria Baldwin’s Last Dance on “Dancing with the Stars”

Hilaria Baldwin wrapped up her journey on “Dancing with the Stars” during Tuesday’s show. She and her partner, Gleb Savchenko, performed a Quickstep to the iconic theme from “Star Wars: A New Hope,” with Baldwin donning a Princess Leia costume.

Following their performance, the judges had high praise, particularly Bruno Tonioli, who remarked, “I was searching for a mistake, but I couldn’t find one.”

Even though Baldwin scored higher than comedian Andy Richter, he had more viewer support and managed to stay in the competition while she did not.

Emotional Farewell

Despite the disappointment, she expressed gratitude for the experience, thanking her children and family, and cheerfully rooting for her fellow contestants. Although her kids were in the audience, her husband Alec Baldwin was not, having supported her during the previous week.

At the season’s premiere earlier this month, Baldwin delighted the crowd alongside Savchenko, while her family cheered them on. “It’s truly a dream to have my family here,” she shared after the premiere.

Before their first dance to Jennifer Lopez’s “Let’s Get Loud,” Baldwin and Savchenko had travelled from Los Angeles to New York for practice, where they reside with their seven children. “I can’t wait to share this experience with my family,” she expressed eagerly before performing.

Alec, watching her rehearsal, praised Hilaria, saying, “She’s a hard worker. This was her life until she got injured, and she gives it her all. I’m so proud of her.”

Support Amidst Absences

During another performance, Hilaria shared a memorable moment with Savchenko that caught Alec’s attention and went viral. However, he was absent for her subsequent performance due to filming commitments. “He’s busy with movies and traveling, but he’ll be back next week,” Hilaria explained after her show.

Earlier in their journey, Baldwin described a serendipitous shift, mentioning how quickly everything came together. “We were supposed to be in New York, and then suddenly, this incredible opportunity presented itself,” she reflected on how quickly they signed on to “Dancing with the Stars.”

In a prior interview, Hilaria noted that Alec had long wanted her to be on the show and had always been supportive of her ambitions. “This is something he’s been excited about, just like I’ve supported him in his endeavors,” she stated.

Even though her time on the show was short-lived, Hilaria felt fulfilled. She mentioned the warmth of the “Dancing with the Stars” family and the joy she derived from dancing again after facing a serious injury in the past. “I thought I’d never dance again after my hip injury. This experience has truly been a dream come true,” she concluded, acknowledging her partnership with Gleb Savchenko as a crucial element of her journey.
