Controversy Surrounds New York Mayoral Candidate
Florida Republican Rep. Randy Fein has made inflammatory remarks regarding New York City mayoral hopeful Zoran Mamdani, labeling him as “no more than a Muslim terrorist.” Fein suggested that lawmakers from New York should lose their citizenship and face deportation.
“This makes me sick. Mamdani is just a Muslim terrorist. It’s shameful that he was granted citizenship. He should have it revoked and be sent back to Uganda,” Fein expressed in a recent post, which was in response to Mamdani’s statement marking the second anniversary of the horrific Hamas attack in Israel on October 7, 2023.
Fox News Digital reached out to Mamdani’s team seeking comments on these accusations.
During the 2023 attacks, numerous violent acts were committed, including murder and abduction. In his initial statement, Mamdani acknowledged that Hamas had indeed carried out serious war crimes but went on to accuse Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli government of waging a “genocide war,” asserting that the U.S. government was complicit in these actions.
Mamdani declared, “Occupation and apartheid must end. We need to pursue peace through diplomacy instead of resorting to war crimes. Our government has a duty to halt these acts and hold those accountable responsible.”
According to his biography, Mamdani was born in Uganda and moved to New York at the age of seven, becoming a naturalized American citizen in 2018.
Mamdani has described himself as a “democratic socialist” on social media, stating he aims to freeze rent, expedite bus services, and implement universal childcare programs.
